as the title says , looking for campsites so that we can nip off to on a weekend break from a friday evening till sunday lunchtime. i'm new to camping and wil be getting a bigger tent than the 3 person untardis tent we had earlier this weekend. lol

but have now been bitten by the bug

Hi Janiebaby and welcome to UKCS. Stroud Hill Park in Pidley is around 90 mins from Harlow straight up M11 and A14. Not sure if this is any good for you as no one under the age of 16 is allowed. If site is ok for you its well worth a trip.

we prefer to go without a grunting teenager , lol and she's over 16 just . but still behaves like a female version of kevin .

is it dog freindly as we have a 9month old beagle

Hi Janiebaby, yes site is dog friendly as long as on lead, we have just returned lovely site and have submitted review.

rutland water is nice friendly site and about 90 mins from us straight up the a1m

but we are in welwyn but not a million miles away
