Shardaroba is very near a pub but don't know if it accepts dogs.

Yes it does, our friends take theirs

Unfortunately it says on the website you need to be a CC member which I am not.  At the moment the Royale Oak looks like its going to be the one.  Anyone been recently?

The Royal oak at Wetton?

Stayed there in April, really enjoyed it.Slightly sloping field(try and get in top corner) Very friendly pub, good ale and food, warm fire(It did snow, Grand National Eve) Good walk up to Thors Cave. Pub is dog friendly in front room, mine went back to the tent with my better half and friends wife, they must have nodded off. dog "knocked" on front door and was let in,raised a laugh or two. Definatley go back there.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
