We have just bought a new tent (Wynnster Indus 8)  to accomodate our 8 week old baby and are off to try it out this weekend.  We don't want to travel far so would like to go to a site fairly near to Worcester thats not too busy / noisy.  We don't like "club" sites and usually favour somewhere in Wales with a river / stream and where fires are allowed.

If you have any recommendations we'd welcome them !

There is a site like that at Presteigne, but I don't know if fires are allowed.

Thanks! for the future Prestiegne would be an ideal location, but for our first trip with the baby we'd like somewhere within about 30 mins of worcs.

We have been to a site at Harford Bridge (or something like that) near Worcester, there is a river but not very accessible I think.

I forget the name of the site at Holt Heath by the river, dont know if they will allow fires, I doubt it though.

The Wharf is the name of the site but they are full this weekend both electric and non electric.

Try Top Barn if you can find the number, is just up the road from Holt Fleet.

There's a pub on the Hereford Road called the New Inn near Storridge, that has a campsite. Wouldn't think that they'd have fires, though.
