Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
As ana side to this on the TV programme about seaside rescues last week the chopper flew over a cliff top site on the IOW. Looked like avery good location, anyone recognise it?
We found The Orchards a bit cramped in pitch sizes when we went. We were almost on intimate terms with our neighbours. Our Avondale Grampian at the time wasn't enormously long, but people tripped over the tow bar too, even though it was as far back as possible
I agree with Jenny the Dorset Belle the Orchards is a nice site but can be too busy and tightly packed it feels too cramped with almost constant streams of people walking / riding past your van. We were also unfortunate to have two caravans opposite who arrived together with 11 people and two dogs thankfully it was at the end of our stay but we cut it short by one day. The C & CC site looks OK would not return to Orchards.
The best way is to save up Tesco Clubcard points and buy your ferry tickets with that (Wightlink).
Failing that, booking via The Caravan Club is quite a saving too, I've heard.
Finally, some of the sites offer their own ferry packages - again quite a saving over the normal fare. The Orchards does this, and has an indoor/outdoor pool and other facilities.
We went to Whitecliff Bat in August they booked the site and ferry through internet booking for Whitecliff Bay. They rang us up to ask approximately what time we wanted ferry and we got exactly what we asked for.
