I strongly object to people bringing this type of dog onto a site especially a family site, as a child could end up being mauled.
There are a few other dogs that should also be banned from camp sites. The other caravan park in our town bans Pit Bulls obviously, Bull terriers, Staffies, German Sheherds and several other breeds that are know to cause injury.
What is your opinion on the type of dog that should or shouldn't be allowed on camp sites?
and i strongly object to uneducated people making statements like this one above.........................................................
if you actually looked at the figures more attacks than any other breed come from german shepard/alsations there are far fewer attacks from staffies than loads of other dogs its just the press make such a fuss of it and IDIOTS believe everything they read in the papers
staffies are known as nanny dogs for a reason ......that is they have the strongest maternal instinct towards children
i have been rescuing staffies for 15 years and my parents for about 30 we have a saying no child is born with a bad habbit nor is ANY DOG it is the way they are brought up before any of you start saying its already in the breeding bull c*ap
we have two full pedigree staffies at the moment we regularly end up on the same field when walking at night as two yorkie terriers(and their idiotic irrisposible owner who lets them off the lead knowing they are agressive to other dogs) who agressivly chase my two to the corner of the field maybee we should ban yorkies aswell while we are at it
plaese do me one favour and dont add fuel to the idiots fires by believing all the rubbish you read about staffies its the jungle drums that cause the stigma and problems theese lovely dogs have to live with every day
as for the dangerouse dog act 1991 that someone has mentioned please read it again ill educated people rule the roost here the order covers PIT BULL dogs a staffie is NOT a pit bull it is a "staffordshire bull terrier" origionaly bred for taking bulls down NOT fighting in a pit which is where the pit bull name comes from.......................so please stop refering them to the pit bull dangerouse dog act as this act does not include staffies
here is a quote from the staffie owners site i am a member of" In the UK the British Government rushed in legislation banning "the type of dog known as the Pitbull terrier". Fortunately for SBT owners, the major canine organisations were consulted and were at least able to persuade the politicians and civil servants that the registered Staffordshire Bull Terrier breed was different.
so no they dont have to be muzzled or tattoed or castrated or chipped ) i have had mine castrated and chipped
please please please stop taring all theese dogs with the same brush
sorry to answer your question i think ANY "well behaved dog AND owner" should be allowed on any site that allows dogs......................after all if as a person you was restricted from what sites you were allowed on due to your race/upbringing or any other reason there would be an uproar and probrably court action for dicrimination
