Hi,
Am interested in the increasingly popular (in the media at least) camping holiday in which you stay in a pre-pitched "luxury" tent and was wondering if anyone has any advice? HAve seen some sites with "yurts" on which look pretty impressive, also tipis. Any advice at all much appreciated!!

Just about every site in France has ready erected tents, fully furnished and equipped. Cant say I have seen many on offer in this country though.

Monkton Wylde Caravan and Camping Park has yurts. It's in Dorset. This is not a recommendation though as I haven't stayed there.

There are a couple in the 'Cool Camping' book, Leela Fields (Yurts) in Dorset and Tamar Valley in Cornwall (Tipis not Yurts). Both look nice but pricey in the book.

This Yurt thingy is amazing

And it's own Yurt bathroom. Totally amazing

And the word "yurt" is great! Like a clean version of a swear word!

I would love to try the "Yurt experience" Fantastic

Cayton Bay Campsite in Wales has pre erected tipis, they sleep about 6 they are not cheap though.
