There was one in the Peak District, at the top of what seemed to me to be a mountain, but was probably a big hill. Nice site, pub on it which served bar meals too. Can't for the life remember its name, but I'm sure it was near either Ashbourne or Buxton. We used to go there with the Perle-Leda Owners Club.
I am off for a romantic break with my hubby next week. In the Peak District quiet small site, lots of wonderful walks and a country pub (the site is actually run by the pub). Cant wait.
Try Gordale Farm at Gordale Scar just through Malham. In my opinion one of the most stunning situated sites in England. Fantastic Dales walking and the walk to Malham and the pubs can be taken off road through Janets Foss, a famously, fairy inhabited waterfall and glade.
