Camping Barn a redundant farm building converted to provide basic shelter. Little or no privacy. Limited facilities. Toilets may be chemical. Sleeping areas are usually not divided between the sexes and there are wooden sleeping platforms. Camping barns are often described as stone tents.
Bunkhouse Barn a converted farm building, better equipped than the camping barn. Stoves and cooking facilities are provided. Toilets may be chemical. Separate sleeping areas for males and females but little privacy. Bunk beds are provided.

Ive stayed in a bunkhouse with my family and had a great time, as for camping barns I cant comment.

Have stayed in a couple of camping barns with a group for a weekend.  they do vary from place to place but all seem to be very basic.

Sounds like my lounge when my son is having a sleep over... sofas pushed together with lots of sheets draped over....oh to be a kid again... the other half won't let me play at indoor camping... keeps telling me to grow up... Bah Humbug!

there is a camping barn on the site we just visited, didn't see the beds but there was all mod cons, cooker, microwave, fridge etc.
