To be honest, we go camping to escape all the noise and rush of our hectic lives.
We stay on sites that have all we need but no entertainment or clubhouse, we don't mind a swimming pool. We do like sites that are not too far from a beach and hopefully somewhere interesting to go for the odd day out. Even our children appreciate the quiet, we get to spend time together as a family and it is so nice.
Another reason for camping is to be able to have cheaper holidays and as many short breaks as we can, so we certainly would not expect to pay almost £500 for a week away. This year we went to just outside Torquay for 8 days over the bank holiday and it only cost £100, which we thought was great value for money.
But then again everyone has their own ideas of what a holiday is and should do what ever they need to get their ideal holiday.
