Hi

I am going to try Scotland for Easter. a friend told me that Tantallon near North Berwick is ok, does anyone know of it and what is it like

I`ve been there...mixed opinions, to be honest. Lots of statics, toilet blocks a bit grubby, some of the pitches are sloping and the main field can get into a right old guddle because the pitch markings were laid out years ago, are far too small and thus 90% of folk ignore them. On the plus side there`s a very nice kids playground. But put it this way...I`ve been there once, and I`m not going back. Not my sort of place.

If you want somewhere smaller, cleaner and better organised in the same area try Drum Mhor near Musselburgh.

You can find both campsites in the Camp Site Search via the button above, btw. Lots of reviews on both sites there.

I agree with Valk scot Drum Mohr is a nice site and handy for Edinburgh.  You might also want to look at Yellowcraig Caravan Club site at http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=2940.  Its next to Dirlton between North Berwick and Gullane but within 30 minutes of Edinburgh.
