Hi DandD

We live in Hessle (East Yorks) and frequently just nip over the bridge to Barton on Humber to Silver Birches for the weekend.

Really friendly owners, nice site, good local Pub, and they are open all year now.

Yes, I can recommend this site too. I think we may have been there at the same time as you earlier this year (one of May bank hols, I think),  do you have a personalised car reg?

More sites are opening year round now, winter camping is becoming ever more popular. It's just as cosy in a motorhome or caravan as it is at home. I prefer winter camping as there is more choice and no need to book unless you're looking at Christmas or New Year.

Straight down the A1, they have terrific facilities and an out of this world restaurant and pub.

Yes its the one you see from the bridge.

In fact the easy way when towing is to turn right at the Barton roundabout towards Sc**thorpe, then take the first right, and drive underneath the Bridge take a left at the T junction and Silver Birches is on the left. It saves having to drive through Barton.

i know its a bit further afield but have a look at brighouse bay as it is open all year round and a lovely park and sure it would be worth the drive, and the facilites are excellent
