We are looking to stay in Dorset next summer. Last year we stayed at Wareham Forest which was lovely, but next year we may (if I am very lucky) have a new dog with us.

As our daughter loves visiting the beach, could anyone advise me if there are beaches in this area who allow dogs in peak season.  We didn't notice last time as we were only humans!

Weymouth beach allows dogs. You have to go as far right as possible- near the Pavillion. Its a lovely sandy gently shelving beach.

Eype beach ( West Bay ) also allows dogs  but this time you have to go to the left- under neath the huge cliff. The sea can be a bit rough here and it shelves deeply.

Our golden retreiver loves Dorset!!

You can take dogs on the beach to the left, as you look at the sea, at Charnmouth (or you could two years ago when we were there) but not to the right.  However, the tide comes up high, so time your walks well!!!!
