Hello all!

Me and some fellow lunat... friends, are planning a january/feb/march camping outing/meet, looking for somewhere with about 20 pitches+, fairly remote if possible, with reasonably easy access toilets (one wheelchair rideing fellow will be in attendence) and the ok to have a campfire, as the general thing is to sit up till the wee hours talking rubbish, not to mention its going to be preeeety cold, and very dark, i'm hopeing some will be more flexible at this time of year maybe?

Has anyone got any suggestions? oh in the peak district btw! the middle/lower half probably if possible but not over important (unfortunately theres no facility to search specifying camp fires yes/no)

Thanks for reading!

The best place to start looking is the link below, as that is a list of all the sites that allow camp fires.

Welcome to u.k.c.s.

Best to have a look in the search above and if they say thay are only open , say March to Oct, and it's a farm site, ring and ask to see if they will make an exception for a big booking. That is unless they are only leagally able to open at these times.

Hope you find somewhere, there is plenty of sites to go at in Derbys, though myself I think your mad lol.

Thanks for the replys, most appreciated :D

Had a look through them, was hopeing for somewhere middle of the peaks really.. will keep lookin..

I'm hopeing some of the smaller ones might be convinced to allow a small fire in an oil drum or similar?

One though, how happy are most likely to be about bikes on their pitch? i guess if they have caravans shouldn't be a problem. hmm..

The other thought was trying to find a small put with fields arround and seeing if its possible to camp there

Luckly plenty of time to ponder :D
