Hi all,
We used to go `vanning at a site in Derbyshire called Darwin Forest, amongst loads of trees ( does exactly what it says on the tin), with hedges around 3 sides of your pitch, walks through the woods, a small pool, little shop, no amusements, play area, lots of local scenery stuff (Peak District), - basically all relaxing and gorgeous, but now the log cabins that used to share the site have got too big for their boots and taken over, (money and all that!), so caravans aren`t wanted anymore (sniff, sniff, sob). So we were wondering if anyone out there knows of anywhere similar that doesn`t cost a second mortgage, where we can chill out to the sound of kids arguing, dogs going crackers and wives tearing their hair out (usually inexerably linked!), with the odd bit of flora and fauna noises thrown in for good measure! Not too far away (within 60-odd miles of Leeds) would be nice, but isn`t vital (have `van will travel!)
thanks a lot, Andy
(All that typing and I can still only use 2 fingers!)
