We have decided to take the plunge and go away in the caravan for the xmas festivities. Problem is now that we have left the decision so late anywhere thats half decent is fully booked.
We are looking for suggestions of a site. Would like anywhere from lincolnshire down to suffolk, coastal with a pub/ pubs within staggering distance. On a train or bus route would be prefered.Have 2 girls 14 & 11 so something for them to do would be a bonus. Not over bothered about site facilities although warm showers would be a bonus. Obviously not being fully booked would be great lol, everywhere i have tried except one so far is full. Rallies considered but most of the ones i have seen are New Year.
Thanks in anticipation of any help.

Good for you might be doin the same.. sold house 2nd september big problem with end of chain..every week the completion date changes I dont know where I will be so I might just say "not available till new year...... Gone camping!!!!!!!!"
Thanks Claire. If i manage to get booked in somewhere my caravan hardstand on the side garden will be available for a few days if you need it . As a fellow swift owner i could do you a great price .
Good luck on your move by the way, when we moved 3 years ago the buyer did not get a contract to sign until 2.00 pm on the day we moved out. It was a nightmare waiting as the house we were due to move into was 80 miles away and all signed for.

Bill,
I don't know whether Carlton Park in Saxmundham is open all year, it fits most of your criteria. We are going to Hawthorne Cottage in the Forest of Dean - wrong part of the country for you I suppose.

Thanks Anne. Carlton Park closed end of October. Where your going looks nice but would be around a 350 mile round trip for me so yup to far. Hope you have a great time tho....
If anyone knows where there is a rally with a space even if its not coastal we may be interested, within a couple of hours drive of North Notts but MUST have EHU.
Thanks Sue. Have seriously looked at your site over last couple of days, looks lovely and all those positive reviews. Downside as you say there is not a lot around at this time of year for 2 teenage girls. Have not ruled out tho.
Jana. We are looking at joining the CC but were going to wait till next year when we could get better value as other than christmas we will not be using till spring. Would gladly join early if we knew something suitable was available but cannot access the website if not a member. Fell out with C&CC after a couple of bad experiences so not got round to renewing membership yet. Thanks for tips though.
you can still check out the availability of the club sites on the CC site even if you are not a member. Its only CL's that are not available to source for non-members.
As Jana says there is still quite a bit of availability for xmas. One I have only just noticed is the Whitewater one at Newcastle - I haven't been myself but I am sure I read on here recently about it and people were raving about it, would probably suit your teenage girls?
