maybe a lot to ask but does anyone know of a real little gem of a campsite in Dorset Preferably 5 van with at the least a WC but a shower would be good adn elelctrci hook up. Have been through the reviews on here and there are only a couple of really small ones and only one with any facilities. We are looking for 5 nights in August and know they get booked up early hence asking you lot. Please ket us know your secrets!!

Hi. not a small cl type site but in a super position overlooking chesil beach is pebble bank caravan site at wyke regis near weymouth, worth a look..royell
Yep. CS with camping and caravan site. Opposite Bagwell called Moor Farm. They have a THS there every August in the field at the bottom and the THS is nearer the farm house, a loo and electric hookup and fishing. Its in out and about under THS and in the big sites book. The THS has no facilities at all.

Cauldron Barn farm, Swanage...Not a CS but a lovely, quiet, little site with everything to hand...clean toilets and showers and nice views. The main site is privately owned holiday caravans, mostly elderly people by what I have seen, but they have a smallish touring area for caravans, motorhomes (grass or hardstanding) and tents, most with hook-up. Well kept site, toilet has coded access to keep the little perishers out unless with parents. Do not allow ball games etc; around the units (there is a large field and a small play area for kids well away from the units). 5-10 minutes walk from seafront depending how fast you walk. Agree with Royell, stayed a week at Pebble Bank site at WEYMOUTH last June .not too far from Weymouth itself, lovely scenery, sunsets are smashing a little clubhouse if you want it Quite busy at weekends because a lot of owner occupied Statics on seperate part of site also tents section seperate as well
Thanks all now got something near Dorchester pretty hard though as most places will only take bookings for a full week in August not the 5 nights we want.
