We've normally been summer campers, but after camping at zero deg in Peru last autumn we think we can handle starting earlier this year. When do most campsites open for the season? We'll be tenting, not caravanning, and prefer sites where tents are separate or there are no caravans - there's something not very nice about being a tiny tent surrounded by giant white caravans!

They vary, look at the campsite listings, they give an indication of which ones are which, some are even open all year. It's probably best to check with your chosen site to be sure though.

Usually the weekemd b4 Easter for tents...but some are open all year and will accept tents.
