We syated in one site in St Austell last May, cant think for the life of me whats its called its had a few threads about it on here-if I thionk of the name I'll reply asap. It has a pool, club, entertainment ect.

Another site which we thoroughly enjoyed was Snooty Fox Resorts in Newquay. At the time we didnt have a tourer so we rented a static which only cost £160 for an 8 berth over the May bank hol Fri-Mon.They do have a large touring field though. It has a large outdoor pool, with a smaller babies pool and slide, clubhouse with entertainment, kids entertainment during the day in peak season, cafe, shop ect. It had the most beautiful settings, surrounded by fields, the clubhouse has an outdoor seating area playing music overlooking the pool-whilst we were there we were lucky to have lovely hot weather-whilst sat by the pool with a cold lager it felt more like we were in Ibizia than Cornwall!!

Word of warning thought-May Bank holiday is also Run To The Sun weekend-very busy is an understatement-coming home the motorway was a stands still with many people sat on the side of the motorway or on their bonnets.

We stayed at Trewan Hall in St Columbs Major for 2 weeks in July 06. It is a lovely site with good facilities and the added bonus of a pool which is covered till july and open air for August , there is some low key entertainment laid on but if its a wild night you are after, this is not the sight for you.It is really child friendly and very safe.

Set in the grounds of a lovely estate house there is ample of room for both caravans and tents together whether needing electric or not, a small shop on site provides all that is required and the village is easily walked to for a pub meal.It is featured in the Camping and Caravanning club brochure but is run independantly by a great family team who were very helpful.

Equidistant between Nequay and Padstow this is an ideal location to explore Cornwall and dont miss Watergate Bay which is a great beach for the kids and surfers alike.

Read others reviews on this site to make your own decision but it suited my young family.

Have a look at Polmanter near St Ives, fantastic interactive map of the site which helps you pick a pitch that suits.

There is a link to Polmanter through the camp site search above.

Trevornick in Corwall (5*) and lives up to it aswell......

They also have large pitch sizes plus you can hire items such as a fridge, bed, tv, video etc etc......... Slightly more expensive but you wont be dissapointed!

We stayed at Trencreek Farm, St Austell last year and it was perfect for us, 3 children from 2 - 8years old.  Out door heated swimming and toddlers pools, two play areas, large well kept pitches arranged in paddocks.  Animals for the children - my youngest was more interested in the chickens than the alpacas.  Play areas, clean facilities.  It was our first camping trip and we are hooked.  Also beaches within a short drive.

We are thinking of booking for Easter
