Hi Nick

welcome to ukcs.  If you click on the 'camp site search' tab at top of page it will take you to any area you want.  A lot of the sites have members feedback so its very handy to read.

Enjoy.

My friend and I camped at Hendra near Newquay last year with our 11 and 8 year olds. We have also been in a static there.
The kids absolutely love it, there is a great pool with flumes (extra charge) and three good play areas. It has the usual entertainments and amusements and a good take-away pizza place.
It is definitely a "family" campsite and not the sort of place we went to pre kids, but as you know if the kids are happy.....!

St Ives Bay Holiday Park is an OK site. we stayed there last year after the good spell of weather that we had in the summer. The site is nested in the sand dunes just down from Hayle but surprisingly it can get quite windy on the site. It is large with all the facilities you would expect for a commercial site of this size. The site is clean, the staff were helpful and I did not see any problems on the site for the whole week that we were there. The only issue I had was that there are no allocated pitches given when you book and when you arrive its a bit of a lottry as to which pitch you will get. We drove around the EHU pitches for about 15 mins before we managed to get a pitch.

The site is not top of my list for Cornwall but i would visit again. I would suggest you take alook at the reviews for the site as they will give a fair indication of the site.

Nigel
