Does any one know a good camp site in wales were the surf in good, we have been to cornwall for the last two years and would like to go some were else this year. We have a 16 and 10 yrs old, not bothered about a club house but would like a pool. We have a big caravan so need good size pitches, not sure the best area for surfing, so if any ones know would love some help thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
There are good sites at St. Davids, (awesome surf), and at Newgale. The one at Newgale is within sight of a decent pub or 3, a surf shop and a few chippies etc. Great surf too. From there you can travel around to various other breaks at Fresh West, Tenby, Druidstown etc. Enjoy!
Surfed Llangenith with mates years ago, and it was good, but we stayed at one of my mate's house. No real good campsites there as such.Go west...the further west the better. Find any west facing beach and you'll get surf. Forgot to add Monorbier. Surf on low tide though, as the reefs on the turn there can be a killer! View of the old ruined castle from the line up is priceless though.
As Ffloydfan says Llangenith is a superb surfing beach along with many other beaches in Gower. The only campsite with pool is Bankfarm take a look at links
