Killin is quite near The Trossachs, comes under the same area (Stirling Council). The campsite is 4 miles outside it,on the road that runs alongside Loch Tay.Its is originally accessed of the A9 at the turn off for Aberfeldy then follow signs for Killin. It truly is a wonderful part of the country.

Nobody has mentioned Wales, there's Pembrokeshire both north and south, all the coast of Cardigan Bay, Snowdonia, the Lleyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Plenty to see and do. There's a site at Cardiff if you want to go there first (or last).

Mrsbonce.Yes i agree Wales is lovely and we have thaught about it.We camped on a litle farm in North Wales a few years ago.we stayed in a small hotel near St Davids one August bank hol it was lovely.Pembrokeshire is a lovely coastal area. The cliff top walks are spectacular and we may just go back there. There are a few sites near St Davids i will look them up.

I love yorkshire for the Kids, there is loads to do and they get some really good weather compared to rest of the north, have stayed at Knaresborough, Bolton Abbey and Malton, all great.

Norfolk is also another fav, stayed at Cromer, great weather again and the kids will not have time to be bored.

The lakes are too busy for me and coming from Scotland which is beautiful you have to be really midge friendly to come any further north than Dumfries which is where I am off to in February.

We always end up in Dartmouth, Devon, and have done for the last 20 odd years, (apart from when we go abroad), we do the same sites etc, and as much as I absolutely love it there, I am determined to go else where this year.  Quite fancy Wales, I love to be near the sea, we like a quiet site, no bars, swimming pools etc, clean showers etc and loads of room, oops nearly forgot must take dogs. Or possibly Yorkshire, bet we end up in devon again

Hi all im new here

Tinsoldier i am recently back from Crauachan farm but we were very dissapointed. It was ever so noisy and we didnt get to sleep until about 1.00am for the 3 nights we were there. Nearly caused myself an injuiry trying to go down the woods towards the Loch also !! The site was full with around 50+ tents and with only 2 ladies and gents toilets ( same at the top at the statics but its a bit of a walk) it was total chaos. Kids were running around everywhere and my kids were not too amused with the park. 1 swing, 1 roundabout made out a tractor tyre and a clinbing bar made out of scaffold!!. The midgies were our in force though and wellies are a must!
