Zoe D - There is a regular No 42 bus service from Marina Drive to the city centre. Lothian Buses offer a ‘day saver ticket’ which costs £2.30 for an adult, £2.00 for a child.Drivers can only accept the correct fare, they cannot give ‘change’ so be sure to have plenty of coin with you.For more information go to http://www.lothianbuses.co.uk
Here’s hoping you enjoy your visit.

------------- Treat the earth well. It was not given to you by your parents. It was loaned to you by your children.
We stayed on the Edinburgh site and went into the city centre many times, the bus stop is just outside the gate, the only prob we had was coming back at rush hour the bus was packed,,good frequent service and cost around £2.75 each, loved the place, cant wait to go back....
You will have no problem getting into or out of the city from the site, its ideal for that purpose. The site is really clean with friendly wardens but if you are looking for a countryside setting you will be dissapointed, its like a carpark.
Mind you that hasn't stopped me using it twice for weekends as there is so much to do in Edinburgh, and thats quite something coming from a Glaswegian !!
If you are going to Edinburgh, treat yourself to the spooky experience of going down Mary King's close, on the Royal Mile - its the old buildings that the new eighteenth century civic buildings covered over (in effect using them as foundations). Quite eerie, but fascinating.
