Zoe D - There is a regular No 42 bus service from Marina Drive to the city centre.  Lothian Buses offer a ‘day saver ticket’ which costs £2.30 for an adult, £2.00 for a child.  Drivers can only accept the correct fare, they cannot give ‘change’ so be sure to have plenty of coin with you.  For more information go to http://www.lothianbuses.co.uk

You will have no problem getting into or out of the city from the site, its ideal for that purpose.The site is really clean with friendly wardens but if you are looking for a countryside setting you will be dissapointed, its like a carpark.

Mind you that hasn't stopped me using it twice for weekends as there is so much to do in Edinburgh, and thats quite something coming from a Glaswegian !!
