There are also quite a few if you do a search for Hayling Island.

If you are in either CC or C&CC they both have sites reasonably close. C&CC are to the east near Chichester, CC has [I think, 'cos I no longer have the book, not a member anymore y'see - working from memory] 2 sites - one east of Winchester one classed as Fareham - bit off the beaten track as I recall!

Have you thought about Travelodges?  Some of them allow dogs too for an extra charge.  If you can wait until nearer the time they often do reduce rate rooms too!  We stopped in Nuneaton: £10 for a family room

I have to say i have popped down to the site at Southsea for a nose (like you do) and it does look a bit neglected  

It all depends how far from Portsmouth you are willing to travel.

We have stayed at Kingfisher and liked it.  Also we use the C & CC site at Graffham, thats our favourite.  No playarea as such, just woods right by your pitch for the kids to play in.
