we have a family wedding in portsmouth coming in july and i was hoping some of you lovely folks could suggest a campsite with all the usual things ie. hook up, play area, etc, etc. and one that allows dogs and is also reasonably priced? many thanks for your help in advance.

thanks loopy. going by the reviews on that site its a bit daunting. most say its a horrible site but the odd person say its great. might be alst option thing but many thanks again for your help. much appreciated.
If you are in either CC or C&CC they both have sites reasonably close. C&CC are to the east near Chichester, CC has [I think, 'cos I no longer have the book, not a member anymore y'see - working from memory] 2 sites - one east of Winchester one classed as Fareham - bit off the beaten track as I recall!
good luck

Just come back from Kingfisher Park, Stokes Bay, Gosport. I go quite a bit (its open all year) Has Bar, Rest.........t, games room for kids, 5mins from beach. about £15 a night, (Unit & 2adults) Taxi to ferry is about£5 50, Ferry is £2 return. Muts allowed on lead. Food is very good, about £10 for 2 courses. We also have Xmas there if the kids will let us! Hope that helps. (Don't tell em Bob Faulkner sent you)
Have you thought about Travelodges? Some of them allow dogs too for an extra charge. If you can wait until nearer the time they often do reduce rate rooms too! We stopped in Nuneaton: £10 for a family room
i looked at the kingfisher one, its looks ok. loopy, we are willing to travel for about an hour as we are travelling down from scotland to get to portsmouth so we dont really want to be driving for hours to get from the campsite to my oh's brothers house. i looked at the travellodge site and they want £330 for 5 nights which is a bit pricey for me im afraid. we have fuel and food and spending money on top of that as well. thanks for all your help so far folks.
might give them a phone just to make sure they arent naturist anymore. dont know how the kids would react to bits being revealed everywhere....LOL! actually i can picture it now...PMSL!!!!! thanks loopy you are a star
We have stayed at Kingfisher and liked it. Also we use the C & CC site at Graffham, thats our favourite. No playarea as such, just woods right by your pitch for the kids to play in.
Good luck
