Ok will do,  as we normally head off up there for the end of May Bank Hols.

Take care

We`ve had a walk round the Keswick C&CC site today and it looks fabulous. Right on the lakeside and within 5 mins walk of a supermarket and town centre. That`s the next one on our agenda.

Just came across this thread - me and Hubby are going to this site next weekend, (13th, 14th, leaving 15th July)...

We have just got a new Vango Idaho 600, and will be giving it it's first outing!

How far is it to walk into Barnard castle from the site?

We are thinking a few beers and pub meal on the friday night, and don't want to lose our way wobbling back to the site!

Also, are they OK about utility tents?

Just asked OH and he said it is probably a mile or mile and half into town. You could always walk in and get a taxi back, I think there were taxi numbers on the info board near Reception.

Not too sure about the utility tent, we can`t remember seeing any. Probably best to ring the site and ask.

You will love Barnard Castle, we did!

Well I think it would be a great idea to book for next year and we will almost

defo be going late May Bank holiday because in September I will be changing my job to go and work in my local school (AAAGGGHHH) Im very nervous but excited), so now have to definitely take school holidays.

Think its about March time we can call site or can go via C&CC website??

Lets do it folks !!

Maybe we could ask UKCS to set up a meet in that area for Whit week? They`ve got 3 interested parties already!

When they ask for ideas for meets for next year we need to put it forward and maybe give them a list of already interested parties. We would go.

Me and hubby will go as well - as long as we can get the days off work! (Must request it nice and early!)

As we only live in Darlington, it dont take long to get there!!!

By the way - what will the ground be like after all this rain? Does it drain quickly?

I would hate to think our shiney new Vango will get muddy LOL
