We have got our summer hols..nearly sorted, we are having a 1 night stop near Bimingham, just to rest, onto Brean Sands probably Northam farm for 3 nights, onto Newquay Treloy for 4 night this is where it gets difficult, we fancied Dawlish but could'nt find a site we wanted to go to, the nice one's don't allow dogs or want 7 night bookings, so any suggestions for South Devon please ? we plan to stay 3 nights then move onto Weymouth for the remainder of our hols, any tips welcome, cheers

Hi Emvid. thanks for that, I had'nt even thought of Dartmouth, Deer Park looks lovely but we have also looked on other sites in the area and quite liked Little Cotton..cos it's cheaper and it seems to be closer to the town and as there are only 2 adults ( and a dog) going, the pool etc at Deer park is'nt neccesary, the pub opposite looks nice, so have you been to little Cotton, if so whats your oppinion on that please, thanks again.
Little bob, If you are posting details of a site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read!
Nice sites near Salcombe and the area is lovely if you haven't been (Salcombe, not Salcombe Regis). We stay at Alston Farm but Sun Park is good if you want to be near a beach.

HI, sorry but not been to little Cotton to compare. Are you looking for somewhere quiet?
I have not stayed here for years and years. We keep meaning to go back but its a case of too many places to see and not enough time for camping. Think it is in quite a rural area but good access, we used to go witrh friends with a caravan. Used to be a lovely pub just down the road. Well positioned if you fancy doing a bit of sight seeing.
Check out the reviews cos like I say it has been a long while since our visit.
Little Cotton is very good and if you dont need the 'extras' you will need to go a long way to beat it (figuratively speaking!). Paul and his family are the most helpful owners i've met - they've got me out of the mire on many occasions.
For 2 people looking for a quiet site its a good choice.
And if you dont like it you can always come and moan at me !
Good luck
Pete
