Hello,

Cant decide between wooda farm at bude or Trewince farm at wadebridge. Have looked at the reviews on both of them & still cant decide!!!

Has anyone any advice??

We are looking to camp with a 4yr old. Not to busy a site but still enough going on & must have clean facilities. An essential part when camping, i think .Like things to see & do in the surrounding area as well.

Hope you can help or it will be close our eyes & stick a pin in !!!

Wooda looks really nice, we sussed the sites out up there last year and if we do camp again sometime that would be our choice.

We went to Wooda last august with our 3 year old daughter.

We loved it - lovely play area and tractor rides on site - little takeaway and restaurant all on site - little shop also.

They have family bathrooms there - so you pay £1.50 a day and your family can use all day, we found the bath great for our little one - she is still not converted to showers.  The main shower blocks where spotless and very big - never came accross a queue.

The pitch size are not the biggest but they did ask us what size our tent was so if you have got a big one make sure you let them know.  But level !

The area had lots of things to do and bude town and beach area was lovely.

Morrisons close by.

We will be going back.

I think it all depends on what you want to do while you're there, Wooda is great as its only down the road from some fantastic beaches (sandymouth, crooklets, summerleaze & widemouth bay) also good for Bude, Boscastle, Tintagel, North Devon, there are also alot of attractions for young children in the area aswell.

wadebridge is further down the coast, this is great for Padstow, Port Isaac, Newquay & Mid Cornwall, again there are plenty of attractions to visit in the surrounding area,

personally we prefer the Bude area, as we find it more rugged & scenic than further down the coast, this post probably doesn't help aid your decision though!

Thanks ben & kerry,

no it doesnt help!!!! as i dont know that part of the world. Been to woolacombe, somerset & norfolk before all of which we enjoyed. Dont like places that are overcommerialized with no charm, quaintess or character

Thanks anyway, will investigate the areas you have mentioned further

Hi Jen

They have super pitches with EHU probably a bit more costly - but on the main camping field i did spot a monty12 so i would therefore assume they have pitches that will fit you in a treat.

Also forgot to mention the little woodland walk on the site - there is pixies dotted around the walk at various points - our daughter loved it, not too long that she got tired with loads of benches anyway to sit and have a minute and admire the views.

Could you not do a week at both sites ????

Hi Hen21. We stayed at Trewince in 2005 but as I've already left a review I'm not sure what else I can really add. Our pitch was massive and I found the reception staff really helpful when I phoned to enquire about booking as they faxed me a plan of the site showing which pitches were available for the week we wanted and whcih of those were biggest. As I said our pitch, with hook-up, was huge. Our trailer tent has a mid section extension plus a sun canopy at the front end and we still had  plenty of space to park and "play out". But there were some downsides to the site in my opinion which I posted more about recently so if you search for another thread called "outdoor activities, cornwall" you should read more by me and others.

When went to Trewince we toyed with the Bude area too btu decided there was more off-site that we liked the look of in the Padstow area. the Camel cycle trail is superb but I guess you'd have to "trail" a 4 year old which sounds like hard work to me!!! Devon's Crealy isn't far from Trewince and the kids loved that.
