I don't know any sites in your area but for your first trip I would advise trying to find a site with nice flat, large, grassy pitches so that you have plenty of room and comfort. Not too busy (unless you enjoy hussle and bustle). You can then take your time to get everything set up as you want it without too many difficulties and it will set you right for further camping trips.
Nothing worse than a bad site on your first trip out. The first site I ever visited was like a refugee camp and I drove in and straight out again, and nearly went home. If it wasn't for finding a lovely site by chance a couple of miles down the road I would probably have given up camping before I had begun!
If you don't like the look of the first pitch they offer you then don't be afraid to have a look round the site, find a pitch you do like, and ask if you can have that one. Most campsites will be very helpful if they can.
Don't be afraid to ask fellow campers for advice or help on site. They will be only too pleased to offer you a hand and show off their expertise
Happy camping.
