Generally speaking what is the weather like for camping at Easter, never been before May before (or not whilst an adult)?  Am thinking about going this time for a couple of nights but shouldn't imagine that I'll get anywhere with ehu if leaving it late to see what it's like, and don't have a heater anyhow!  I know it's not likely to be boiling sunshine with the kids paddling in the sea weather but just a rough idea.

  Last year the weather was lovely, we were in our van, not in a tent, it was warm enough. We were at Strid wood near Bolton abbey and the sun shone right over the weekend.

  The year before we were in Buxton and it wasn't quite so good but it was still fine.

   It all depends what sort of a set up you have if you are well equipped you should be fine though I think at this late date you will have a job finding somewhere'

i am not sure what the weather is ment to be like but you are like us dont want to go if weather aint good being the beginning of april its still quite cold at night

we are going to the woodlands caravan park devils bridge because you can just turn up no need to book

Would like to go early and c&cc have plenty of non ehu and some ehu pitches at sites I fancy during the kids holidays on their booking website at present although not easter weekend, not as I really want to go at easter weekend itself.  Just don't want to feel obliged to go if I've booked somewhere and it's bucketing it down and we're going to spend all our time getting dry and warm!

That looks a great campsite clairetheoil, one to remember for future reference, just looked at time it would take us to get there, 3 hours ish on a good day according to the AA but that's going through Shrewsbury and I've been stuck on their ringroad for an hour and a half before now!

Our friends are taking a tent and camping easter weekend - we're heading up to Tansley near Matlock, Derbyshire.  They say if they get cold they will jump in our van!!  We will lock the doors - We're all looking forward to it, just hope the sun shines though its rain or high winds which are the worst offenders!

Just go for it you can always camp in the car!

were going to Mere Farm, apparently nothing there but owner is opening a beer tent at easter should be a laff, big field for kids to play cricket/football in only cheap too no minimum nites etc very basic but sounds just right for relaxing away from all mod cons

WE have had a types of weather over easter.  From getting sunburnt to snow to lashing rain.

A lot depends on the timing of easter also.
