Hi everyone,

Can anyone help  - - we are 2 families hoping to go away from Thurs apr 5th - sun apr 8th (I know its bank hol on mon 9th but we need to leave on sun as we are shift workers and have to work bank hol monday) I appreciate that many sites have a minimum of 3 nights to be booked over a bank hol but as we will be arriving on Thurs we will be booking for 3 nights.

We dont mind where we go as long as its not more than about 2 and half hours drive from port talbot in south wales so we are thinking of tenby, saundersfoot, newquay (wales), brean,  weston or cheddar areas or even gloucester hereford or cotswolds. Ideally we would like a site with indoor pool but we definetely need a club house/games room to keep the teenagers amused,

Any help would be really appreciated.

Alyson.

PS only reason we are this late booking is that hubbys shifts have been changed which means we are now able to go away.

Hi

We have stayed in Kiln Park in Tenby which is big and commercialised-we like that, but for easter I know that it is very pricey-think last check was £188.

Brean is a brill place to go always busy and has that holiday feel, some of the sites have clubhouses such as Unity, Warren Farm has a pub called the Beach Comber-but the website says the site is full. Northam farm doesnt have a club onsite but does have one 2 mins down the road which is 'the clubhouse' for the site. But it doesnt matter whether there is a club onsite in Brean really as everything is so close and there are a few pubs which everyone gos to anyway. Other sites are Southfields-just toilets, Diamond farm-one of the futhest sites away but you may get a pitch for here.

What about Riverside is Morriston-havent stayed there but heard some good things,we're staying at Cross Park in Tenby in Aug-looks good,Bank Farm in the Gower? That has brill reviews-only thing is I think you might find it hard to get a pitch now, you'd better book asap!!

Good luck.

You will struggle this late to find anywhere.  When I did the ringing around a few weeks back FForest Fields still had room, as did Meadow House near Saundersfoot.

Aside from that I bet that Glyncorrwg ponds has some space!

Thanks everyone

Still havent managed to get in anywhere but think we may have found spaces on one of the quieter sites in port eynon but we know that the countryman have a mini bus so the kids can go there to swim and for a bit of life and we can stroll to the ship for a pint or 2 in peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We tried bank farm but its full, been to riverside and didnt like it, been to little kings and liked it but sadly thats full too....... the whole of tenby saundersfoot newquay and brean are full I've spent a fortune on telephone calls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Think Diamond in Brean did have some space but as its further out just thought I'd end up spending the whole weekend as a taxi service to the teenagers - which wouldnt really be a holiday cos thats what I do all the time at home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really fancy trying erlwon and fforest fields sometime in the season with our 10 yr old son but as we are dragging our 15yr old son (reluctantly) with us over easter dont think there'd be enough there for him and his friend.............

On a brighter note we've managed to get into Buklegrove in Cheddar for the weeked following easter and have sorted out Whitsun bank holiday. Now getting really excited off for our first weekend out this year this afternoon going to Gateway in LLanelli.

Once again thanks to everyone.......

Alyson............
