We're thinking of camping in Dorset this summer with a bunch of teenagers. Previously, someone here recommended Rockley Park - I've looked at the reviews which are all at least a year old and not very positive. Has anyone been there recently ie. last summer or more recently? I'd be interested to hear about it -

Not actually been to Rockley Park. Decided against on the basis of forum feedback. Went to Wareham Forest Park instead, lovely site, easy access to all areas of Dorset. Daughter loved the outdoor pool. Nice forest walks. Not sure if teenagers would find enough on site to occupy time. See reviews.
I've never camped at Rockley but my son did a summer job there a few years back and we drove around once.It did seem to be the place for teens and those wanting the holiday camp sort of holiday. There's another site not very far away, sandford which is quite similar and might have better reviews. Also check the Weymouth area, there's a lot of sites over that way
We stayed a Rockly Park last easter and had a fab time. We were close to the new shower block, had a good pitch plenty of room for tent and car. Facilities were clean and the club wasnt to busy. Would go back again kids loved it, only downside was it was a bit of a walk to the beach but we didnt mind.

We have stayed at Rockley ..... once !! Overlooking a railway and not so nice housing estate from which easy access could be gained onto the touring park.
Try Wareham Forest which is very nice which fantastic walks or cycling into the forest itself or Sandford Park, though this was great for families with younger children as opposed to older.

We stayed a couple of years ago. Some pitches better than others and some not suitable if you have an awning because of trees. Be careful where you pitch as some parts get flooded. People in tent across from us had to move to another pitch as waterlogged. We had a good holiday and the children enjoyed the indoor pool. Toilet and washing facilities as you would expect on Haven site. Take a plug for the dishwashing sinks!
