Just after a bit of advice on tent choice. I am planning to do my first wildcamp down on Dartmoor at the end of October and will be dragging along my 10 year old son to record the experience. I am currently looking at the Banshee 300 and Tempest 300 from Vango to make sure I have enough space for the two of us plus all the gear and will be using the same tent for some wildcamping in Scotland towards the end of February next year.
Does the extra weight of the Tempest mean a more sturdy tent and better experience? We won't be walking too far (maybe 10-15 miles a day) so do you guys consider the weight of the Tempest manageable? I may be able to park the poles with my son but he will also be carrying his own gear. Your thoughts on this would be most welcome.

I was looking at a Banshee 200, but internally for me a 6'4" is was too small, with the interior tent hanging in my face when lying down. A nice design but needed something a little less cluttered so opted for a Halo 200 which has bigger and more useable porches, and more face/head room inside.
Some may find it a little heavy though?
The 300 Banshee may get you both in, but would be a little tight still. Has an excellent reputation at taking all that's thrown at it,.
The Halo200 would take you both and be lighter than the Banshee 300 I hope?
I can't help but feel the Halo would make entrance and exit for two easier as well, with the dual entrances? With the Tempest, everything is in the one "porch" which you'll have to climb over, and when you unzip any rain will come straight in? Will make positioning very important........
