hi every1, really glad I found this site before I made any purchase on any new tent, good idea to get some feedback or info, the tent I was looking at was the terra nova laser 2 man tent, (£250) and was wondering if there was a better tent I could be buying for the money?, I really need a lightweight tent as im doing the west highland way for a charity and I want to be packing as light as possible, so what I really need is a 2 man lightweight tent, double skin, waterproof just incase, any information is most welcome, as there is something that is stopping me making that purchase for that tent, maybe I can get a better 1 for the £250???. any help would be great, tyvm.

Hi there,we were in george fisher shop few weeks ago looking at these and they are really nice really lite and well worth the money although not camped in one but i always hear that they are fantastic plus they are british made i hear better than the vango ones thats for sure.
now have you seen the new thermarfest expedition mats like a little bubble feel fantastic and pack up smaller than your coat lol mega bucks though.
we allways go in the expedition shops just love them nearest thing we have bought is a msr dragonfly and a msr pocket rocket im in deep need of the pink snow peak titanium mug too but can afford the pennies for one cup ha.
happy camping and goodluck

Hi
I have been using a Vaude Taurus Ultralight tent for a couple of years including a couple of week long backpacking treks, The Cumbria Way being one of them. I would highly recommend this tent and it is easily available. At sub 2kg it is ideal for backpacking and mine has stood up to everything that nature has thrown at it,

You will find it cheaper if you search.
Cheers
Dave

Has any1 here used this tent or does anyone recommend a good/safe online store which sells these at a good price, im sure i seen it at £130 yesterday but I have been looking at that many tents I cant remember the site that it was on, or maybe I was looking at a different tent??? but I think this is the tent im maybe going to go for, still got a little while yet before I do the walk, so still got plenty of time to decide on buying a different tent, but this 1 looks like the tent for me, again tyvvm to every that has replied, very much appreceiated.
