Three bikers were camped adjacent to me at a site in the Lake District last month. Each chap had his own tent and all their gear was in carried in the bikes' panniers and back-boxes.
Two were using Eurohike backpacker-style dome tents (possibly Darts - I didn't note the model name), the third had a Vango Banshee.
Leafletter makes a very good point - always go for a larger tent than the manufacturers' intended number of berths.
