I don't know a great deal about wild camping and what kind of land is acceptable to be honest. Eglwyseg mountain by the Horse Shoe pass seemed fairly isolated but it was mostly moorland and seemed to be used for Grouse shooting, so wild camping and/or fires would probably be unacceptable.

I think technically Scotland is the only place you can wild camp legally.

Although lots seem to camp out in the Lakes without any bother. Would have thought use some common sense and if possible ask a landowners permission.

Open fires would probably be frowned upon almost anywhere so take care.

depends on how your traveling a lot of people camp by Trevor rock head in to LLangolen Just before the bridge takes you over the Dee in to LLangolen town theirs a little right hand turning heading towards the canal tours (that's if your heading in from northwest) head up the road and follow the panoramic view

till your at the top turn right and head to the first lay by about 100 yards down the road

BE WARNED some youth clubs use the rocks to climb abseil some weekends (so might just get a early wake up call)
we have camped plenty of times with a small fire with out hasil Please remember to take all rubbish with you though please
