Hi all,

I'm looking to purchase a waterproof rucksack but something in a more traditional style than the drybag type - say with side pouches and padded waist belt. I'm looking for possibly 2 - a daysack 20-25 litres and a backpacking one at around 60-70 litres. Being a tight Yorkshireman I aint wanting to spend too much and I want them to be lightweight - i've got a golite peak at the moment that compresses down nice for a daysack but it isn't waterproof but does me and me daughter for walking in the Lakes. I've looked at a few but nothing is really appealling to me - Anyone out there got any ideas?

I use one of these - packs about as small of 40 fags - is very light and waterproof.  Much cheaper covers are available if weight is not an issue.  Talking of weight - Exped sacks are very fine and sturdy but nowhere near the lightest for the money.  I sold mine on e-bay and went for Sea to Summit and Granite Gear sacs - Argos sometimes does deals on Sea to Summit gear.
