I've yet to find a tree I'd want to camp near on the fells let alone 2 close enough together to put a hammock up . Jungle yes wilds of the UK ? As wild camping is frowned apone and indeed illegal I've found it better to stay low and discreet .
Just my thoughts on it

Only in England and Wales, not in Scotland and as the OP is in Ireland, perhaps not there either.

I don't think finding suitable trees will be a problem. You don't have to be in a jungle to find trees! Quite often, and especially in mountainous areas, the hardest thing to find is a suitable spot to pitch a tent. That is one of the reasons I have decided to go with a hammock tent.
I'm appalled at the idea of wild camping being illegal,
but given the orwellian direction things are taking, it does not surprise me. With regard to staying "low and discreet", Im sure you are aware that another name for hammock tent camping. Is "stealth camping". This is precisely because you can camp in places which are much more hidden than is generally possible with a tradional tent.
My desire to stay hidden has more to do with the yobs than the law. Unfortunately, in ireland, even cider- drinking neanderthals have a desire to take to the hills,
and they do so in large groups when the weather's good. You should see the mess they leave behind them!

Here are a couple of sites you may like to try.

Never forget, using a hammock is not just about trees. You can wrap the two hammock ropes around anything which is stable, from rocks to houses. You can set it up in derelict buildings, caves, tie one end around tree roots sticking out of cliff faces and the other to a strong object nearby.
The thing to remember,is to have insulation under your sleeping bag, like a space blanket,as it is super duper chilly cold sleeping in a hammock, and you could get hypothermia.
