Looked at the Soul 100 adventure tent while I was there as well...Can't remember why...But I didn't fancy it...Sloped a bit steeply from the door to the end...

I'll have a look at the Coshee on that link you gave TBM thanks for the suggestion....

I've seen a Blade 100 up at GO Outdoors - have to say for me and the dog plus pack it would be a tight fit - ground size is fine but the sides slope so you loose useable space at the edges. Plus head room, whilst the lenght of the tent (good) wasn't that high and again the sloping sides made it actually feel less room - sitting up ly head touched both sides.

Would like to see a 200 version as that is slightly higher and would solve the space issue.

the video on You Tube is the 200 FYI.
If I were you I would stick with the tempest, far more usable space in that, we manage with two of us and a labrador sized dog in a 300. Yes it can get a bit smelly
in wet weather. But as long as the wife remembers to take a shower it's not that bad.

Take a look at the Wild Country Aspect 1, 2, 2.5 etc.
Underated tent IMO..OK I wouldn't like to pitch it on top of a mountain but it handle itself well in the wind.
Not the nicest looking but does what it says on the tin and steep sides gives more usable space.
I have just bought the 2.5 from Cotswold with free 24hr delivery for £125.
Not the lightest at 2.9kg but I will be able to knock a bit off that and worth it for the space..

Vango Soul 100 adventure looks great on weight etc but gets terrible reviews regarding broken poles, even on GO

I have just spent 2 weeks in a Vango Soul 200.
It fits on the back of a mountain bike better than I and my kit fit in it.
Was always the smallest tent at the campsites I went to, smaller even than the pop ups and play tents.
Had coastal winds and a bit of drizzle, no problems except I bent a peg.

Got a Blade 200 on EBay recently, brand new still in the sealed Vango plastic packaging for the starting bid of only £60 including postage.

Test pitched at the weekend and think I have got th bargain of the year. Goes up in minutes, seems excellent quality, much roomier than I thought it was going to be and packs down tiny. Played around a bit and worked out that it can be pitched as one and was better using separate pegs to pull out the corners of the fly rather then use the same ones as the inner per the instructions. The only issue I had is the lightweight pegs are flimsy and bent easily when pushing in by hand. As size rather than weight is my priority I've replaced the pegs with regular steel ones.

Seems to be a cracking little tent.
