Has anyone got any tips for wild camping in the peak district? Or anywhere else for that matter. I would like to give it a go and don't know "the rules"!!!!
Many thanks
Alison
Living in Scotland it has never really been an issue with wild camping.
I would say if in England you should should pitch late and leave early (and don't use a red tent..lol).
Also as has been said respect the countyside and leave as found and above all .....enjoy.

In the Lake District it's pretty well fair game above the highest fell wall, but I've camped low down and unobtrusively without issue before. Some useful tips here from a National Park Authority:
I would say Snowdonia and most of wales is fine, out on the wild tops and not on enclosed farm land. I have wild camped in the Dolomites but pitched late after the park wardens have gone. They have the power there to impose on the spot fines.
Along the coasts and lets face it, there are plenty to choose from.
Anywhere away from the towns and into agricultural areas, the grassy areas between the field fences and the beach are ideal for wild camping and even building a small cooking fire of the beach.
