I love camping. I love being out in the fresh air, and can handle the cold (not keen on wet, of course, but beggars can't be choosers). I'm even getting into walking/trekking/hiking (I've no idea what the difference is, or even if there is a difference!) But I have to say, I don't think I could do this sort of thing. I like a bit of room in my tents, and prefer to have at least a few home comforts to hand.
I very much enjoyed the trip report & pics, and in a weird sort of way, I was quite jealous... I'd LIKE to do it, but I honestly think I haven't got what It takes.
Hat off to you, Spiritburner... and those that take to their outdoor activities in a similar manner. Great life... if you can hack it!

I'm quite happy with my own thoughts too. Even though I usually go with a few mates, once the tents are up (we all camp solo) we rarely communicate until the next morning! I also like my sleep so long winter nights are no problem.
