Considering a trip that'll get very, very cold.

Has anyone recommendations for a seriously lightweight but robust tent that'll survive several months of abuse?

The lighter they get the more delicate they are. A decent two man winter tent is going to weigh about 2.6 kilos and upwards. They ain't light.

All 1 man tents and not great in snow. Probably the best of the bunch is the Telemark but I would go for the two man. 1 man tents are just too small for cold climates. You want something you can sit in and get your gear into. Defrosting boot laces is not funny.

VERY durable.... superb in snow...can put a stove inside, but not really a lightweight...Ewen will know what I'm going to say...a polish lavvu!
