The walk started at the car park called The street.
It was packed out with day visitors .
As It was a Hot Sunny weekend .
Walked down the trail to go across the Dam over Errwood Reservoir with Fernilee on other side.
Across the other side traversed the Knoll of the aptly named Bunsal Cob .......
Then up steep Goyt lane passed the ( Brickhouse outhouse toilet .... Which is never open ? )
Carried on uphill till arrived at fingerpost sign across open land and thought woods ,coming out of the treeline to bypass the sailing club .
Then followed the trail up a gully of Wildmoorstone brook carried on to the viewing area looking back down the Reservoirs then downhill to a Junction of waymarkers ,showing Buxton to the East,also a Route to Burbage Edge.
Then followed the route to Goytsclough below the Wild moor up to now the tracks trails were dry .
Ascending down the lower levels to the Goyt river .
I started to encounter muddy narrow paths and pools of water
All Ok to pass untill reaching open areas of high grass came upon pools of muddy boggy morass ,managed to find a way around finding higher points of dryer grass .
I did meet people out for the day just wearing trainers .
I advised them conditions were bad ,the thanked me and continued on .
After a while I looked back to see them turning back .I
Onwards to the furthest point going South to Cross the Pack Horse bridge ,
of the fast flowing River Goyt and up out to Check out Goytsclough Quarry
then headed downhill going back North past Stakeside woods
and turned of the tarmac road to the river walks away from busy one way system lots of cars and cycle event on going .
Arriving back at the lower end of Errwood Reservoir .
Beside the Carpark
Lots of people down at the receded waters edge paddling and playing in the water.
Ignoring the prohibited signs .
Carrying on back to the start point .
After a Lovely hilly walk and beautiful scenery a nice day out covered 12 kilometres
Ain't Walking brilliant
