How beautiful.

We often camp at Boot and walk to the big mountains or over to Wasdale area. We've looked at this site but like to be able to hike from the door.

Any walks/ hikes you can recommend?

Now that's a nice set up! I love the big purple bean bag thing, where did you get it from please?

Chelsea Girl - I bought it off the web a couple of years ago now, I have never done a link on here before so hopefully this will work - it is one of these with a large purple throw over it.

Andreaslovelys - thanks for the comments - it is a stunning place and I was so lucky with the weather, not sure I would be that lucky again but am definitely going back again as soon as I can.

Sue.too - There are some walks direct from the site, a public footpath goes through the campsite. People do camp there to walk Scafell Pike, or at drive to other end of the lake and start the walk. Unfortunately I have a dodgy hip and am limited to relatively low level walking. I did do a lot of driving because I wanted to walk around the lakes themselves and this site really appealed to me. My favourite was 10 miles around Crummock Water. Sorry I cant help with the serious walking stuff!!
