One question: did any of you get lost in the woods?
Totally. Many times. I kept trying to find the stream, but failed until the last day when I fought down a 'path' down by the loo (just next to the sign).
I'm going back on my own and will hopefully have more luck without kids in tow!
Seriously - the loo was fine. Very sheltered by trees to the back and also to the front. I always gave a loud cheery "Hello??" when I was about 10 feet away from the back of the shelter, which I think is always good practice!
Hi Damian - you might be able to pitch on the field where you park - you would have to ask. All of the pitches are a bit of a hike away and are inaccessible by car (or any other form of road going and most farm oriented motor vehicles, to be honest).

Ha ha ha. We got lost but managed to find the stream and followed it to find our way out of the woods. My most enjoyable ever experience of being lost!
Re:dogs. They seem to be allowed. At least, one of the other families had a dog and it made friends with everyone, even ending up in our tent at one point. It's that kind of very laid-back site.
