We went to the IOW in March on a sun £9.50 holiday when nothing seemed to be open so thought we'd go back in the summer,we loved the place,so much so we'll probably go back next year
Thanks for your comments
It's a lovely part of the country and well worth a visit although the ferry companies seem intent on pricing people out of visiting for some reason, although there are always good old Tesco vouchers !
We couldn't complain about the weather that's for sure, apart from one day when it was a bit too hot :)
The site owner told us someone had cancelled that week because it would have cost them £200 for a car and caravan, that must work out at around £40 a mile,it's no wonder the place was quiet!
Its cheaper to use the sun £1 camping deals and not even go to the site !! I found a loop hole on the vehicles you can use in the offer and it allowed us to take my old works van as part of the deal with no extra to pay.
Its worth looking into as an option for the ferry even if you never show up at the site they expect you to use.
