a five day trip about a week ago.. wednesday evening start finishing on monday morning..



thursday morning after finding a nice place to stop overnight..



something we met just down the road..



a couple of "locals" we had a nice chat with.. an hour later the trout was cooked and on our dinner plate..


i have a few more and will post them later..

a few more.. the forum software dosnt like double number files it thinks 10 is a 1 i had to rename a few..



off the beaten track we go..



it gets pretty and the road gets narrow..

north of the border.. the trout fisherman pic was near Hawick the locals pronounce it "hoik".. he he..

and believe it or not the chap in the pic uses frozen prawns to catch his trout.. you can see one in the pic..

i dont pitch in passing places.. you have the location right..

over the hill and another over night stop.. two nights to be exact.. :)

sunday night on the way home.. the police closed the road ahead of us.. motor bike.. they flew in an air ambulance..



an enforced stop this time.. and with the coppers permission.. we chose not to turn round and go back simply park up for the night.. the motor mover came in very handy but we woke up to a puncture in the truck tyre.. not a lucky piece of road that night..

ps.. total round trip mileage was around 600 with just under 200 quids worth of fuel used.. water is the biggest problems.. i carry two 23 litre containers and being careful use one a day.. the weight stops me carrying more..

yep that would be the place.. our original plan was to blast north all in one go and then spend a few days meandering back..

i got bored with the A1 and left it earlier.. bishop aukland rings a bell.. we then drove up through the kielder forest and into scotland the next day..
