Just got back from a week at Yapham Holds campsite (review submitted) After our initial set up the week started off badly with very strong winds, the worst we've camped in. As you will see from the photos there is little protection at the site, so we had to batten down the hatches!!
The site is only small, looks like around 10 pitches plus 3 pods. We were pitched between two of the pods.
Our set up:
Then the winds came and we had to guy to every possible point!!
And add some additional strapping!!
Some very dark skies, but at least the wind had dropped!
An unusual visitor
View from our pitch
Beautiful Hutton-le-Hole about an hour's drive away
Site residents and regular visitors to our tent!
No roughing it for our camping doggie!!

Lovely pics. But that is a site we could not go to, our dog versus feathered friends is a definite no no.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Must have been a bit worrying Tracy what with the new tent and all....But glad you had no real probs with the conditions...And enjoyed your holiday....

It is a Gelert Corvus 6+2 2011 model, which replaced our 2010 model for this trip! Sadly the tent has been discontinued which I think is a real shame as it's a lovely tent. You can still get them on ebay, that's where our new one came from, athough that one is now being replaced as it had a small fault on it, a tiny hole in one of the windows.
Thanks for feedback everyone, wind worst we've experienced, but we survived!!

Great pics as usual Tracy. Your dog in the 1st pic looks like he is thinking "Get off that sofa you lazy sod I want to lie down"
Haha, you're probably right Geoff!
