Hi all,
Here are a few pics from our recent trip to Dorset (review left). The weather was warm (ish) but breezy and cold at night. The shangri la was brilliant again. I have decided to call her Aero, because she is mint choc and full of air! We were completely set up, including kitchen and all beds and bedding, in 80 mins. So, pics...
Looking down on the site from the back of our pitch (no. 70)
The meadow field, home to the football pitch and the chickens. But unfortunately no footballing chickens!
The caravan crescent road.
Aero the tent on our pitch.
The lending library.
Shop, reception and games room.
Sunset.
Site entrance gates at dusk.
Wemouth harbour.
Bournemouth pier. Note the dark clouds, typical UK bank holiday Monday!

May: Drybrook, FoD
August: La Garangeoire, Vendee
Plus a few local weekends

I think several old phone boxes have been turned into libraries, art galleries etc, after BT let most of them go a few years ago. The one in our village still stands, bought for £1 I think, but all the telephone equipment was taken away. We haven't done anything with ours, although a library looks like a good idea.
Geoff, no that wasn't the toilets, just the original lodge to the manor! It was busy but at all times a calm and relaxed place, no shouting, screaming kids, music etc.
