Hello All, I would just like to say thank you to the very useful information on this website, it has helped my wife and I, along with our three kids have a very successful 3 night camping trip.

The Burnham Holiday Village (Haven Holidays) was a great site for camping, we stayed for 3 nights from the 31st August.
I was really hoping for some nice weather, because this was the first camping trip for my wife, I didn't want anything to put her off. I used to got lots as a kid and as a not so big kid whilst out fishing.
It was the first time I had ever used an EHU though, it was brilliant, just the job to keep our cool box cooling, my daughter also appreciated it as this meant she could keep her iPhone charged and communicate with fellow youths.
It was a little muddy when we arrived, on the first night we did have heavy rain that tested the tent and made the ground a little soggy, after that first night the weather was good and it did dry up very well, the sun came out occasionally to, as did the wind.

The picture below was my first attempt of a camping fried breakfast (spam, bacon, square sausage, beans etc) , it turned out well...

To make thing as nice as possible my wife bought a toilet, only to be used if needed during the night, the toilet was never used.

Below is the kids bedroom, we just had the three single airbeds placed next to each other, this worked well. These single airbeds stayed up for the three nights, our double airbed kept deflating during the night, in the morning we would be pretty much lying on the ground. On the second day we went out to buy a new double airbed, the new one (a coleman something) is an excellent buy, very comfortable.
