A few of us were open canoe wild camping many years ago before all the restrictions. The water levels were really high compared to a few weeks before.
A small dock we had used previously was now under water, as you say it can be rapid.

We visited Loch Lomond at the end of May - the last time had been 45 years ago with my parents. It's still staggeringly beautiful (we were lucky to have sun). We didn't camp - on a bit of a road trip in between staying with my sister in Dunbar so were in a B&B - although we did when I was younger, at Ardgartan.
