I just love your van . It’s wickedly cool. If I saw that on a campsite I would think that person must be so interesting. I hope you have many joyful years in her 🎉

Thank you for your kind words which is much appreciated.
She is my semi-retirement project, and I hope to have as many trips in her with the dog as I can in the next 10 years or so while I am physically and mentally able to do so.
Please say hi if you see her out and about - I would normally put my UKCS flag up if I am on a camp site except for very short trips.

Hertford C&CC site was a surprise for me too... less than 40 minutes from h home and, I'd worked in Hertford a few years back. I went for 2 nighsts in June in the long hot summer of 2018 - solo despite the plan for my OH to come... he did, for about 10 minutes and decided he didn't want to sit in a field and had work to do at home. I stayed and had a lovely 2 days exploring the waterside walk to Ware (where?) with it's Georgian Gazebos. Like Sandringham, the site is large (very large in fact) but broken up into paddocks and yes, freedom to an extent as to where/which direction one pitched. They were very good too as I somehow dropped my mini Cole and Mason pepper grinder when packing AND THEY FOUND IT for me. It's a bit too close to home for another stay but recommended. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the stars and planets (it was summer solstice) and the bunnies and bats.
Hertford is a lovely site, and even closer for me. About 10 minutes drive from home. Unfortunately I think its closed at the moment due to staff shortage.

P.S. glad to see Bean enjoying becoming a camper
Posh pepper grinder for camping, my salt and pepper grinder are cheapies from Lidl or Aldi.
Bean loves camping, good job too as I don't believe he has a choice not to go camping with me.
I would go camping at Devises C&CC which is only 6 miles from home, handy for the colder months when a change of scenery is beneficial especially when the weather is crisp, sunny and dry.
